Welcome to the Montana Painter's Alliance web site. The MPA
was formed to assist and cooperate in fostering, stimulating, and encouraging the growing interest in plein air painting,
landscape painting, and studio painting by Montana's wealth of professional artists. The MPA organizes paint-outs, lectures,
workshops, and gallery shows for its members. Plus it offers in-state and out-of-state visitors the opportunity to observe
Montana's finest artists at work.
The MPA also works with other art organizations interested in all facets
of the arts to extend cultural horizons.

I was commissioned to paint these inspired by
the client's own photos that she took in Africa. I was given lots of freedom to add, subtract, change and redesign as
I wanted. These paintings were going to be auctioned to raise money for children in Africa that have lost both parents
to AIDS. The auction was Sunday. But when the client saw the paintings. She couldn't part with them and decided
to buy the paintings and give money to charity. In the process, I was thrilled to paint these wonderful people and be
part of such a need cause.

only. Currently our membership is limited to 25 professional artists of good standing regionally, nationally, and internationally.
