Howard Friedland studied fine art and commercial
art at New York's High School of Music and Art. He went to college at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science
and Art in New York's Greenwich Village. Oil Painters of America inducted Howard as a Signature Member into their organization
in 2003. In 2008 He won the Best of Show award at the National Oil Painters of America show in Missoula. Friedland co-founded
the Montana Painters Alliance (MPA) and is on the Board of Directors of Oil Painters of America. His work has won numerous
awards and is in many private and corporate collections.
